The Master's first event was a visit for Forman's Smokery and the Olympic Park. We started with a talk on the history of smoked salmon by 4th generation owner Lance Forman folowed by a hugely entertaining salmon carving demonstration by Darren Matson. Darren is the Guiness World record salmon slicer - beating Godon Ramsey in the challenge! After the demo we enjoyed tasting the salmon  as our starter and the lunch that followed. Of course there was more than a little "retail therapy" as we treated ourselves to the wonderful products on offer.
After lunch we hopped on the coach to the Olympic Park where we had a guided tour of the Aquatics Centre and the Velodrome.  A super day out which was so popular the Master has organised a repeat visit to Forman's in September.
Photos of the event can be found here.
