The Master and his guests, Lord and Lady Lingfield, welcomed 110 Guild members and their guests to the magnificent surroundings of the House of Lords. Some 80 of the party enjoyed a private tour of the Lords, taking in all of the splendour of this Pugin masterpiece. After a sparkling reception in the Peers' Guest Room we crossed the corridor to the Peers' Dining Room, where we enjoyed a three-course meal with wines. Afterwards Lord Lingfield entertained us with a witty and amusing speech. The Master, in recognition of Lord Lingfield's interest in heraldry, presented him with a Guild of Freemen plaque before wishing everyone a safe journey home.
