The Guild was delighted to attend the Lord Mayor's 800th Anniversary Awards Trust presentations at Mansion House. Grants are made to young people, from all walks of life, aged between 17 and 24 for education in its widest sense including travel, adventure and special training. Priority is given to applicants with connections with the City of London and the Lord Mayor presented an award to a young man who had led an expedition to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. As usual, the Guild's Charity presented an award to the author of the best report and this year our Under Warden-elect and Trustee, Ann-Marie Jefferys, presented the award to Maya Shamroth Rossade who had spent time teaching in Zambia. Well done Maya and all the young people who benefited from the opportunities that the Trust provides. Photos of the event can be found here
