We were blessed with glorious weather as our guide, Peter Tompkins, led us round many of Wren's wonderful churches in the City. Who knew that there is a modern stained glass window of Dick Whittington and his cat!  After the walk, we made our way to the historic Williamson's Tavern in Bow Lane for supper and much needed refreshments. Senior Warden and Master-elect, Ann-Marie Jefferys, presented a cheque for £1000 to Peter for the Lord Mayor's appeal - our members are always very generous. Next year the walks will be on 21st and 22nd July 2020 and the theme will be City Gardens.
