The Master officiated at the Guild's AGM, held at Tallow Chandlers Hall, where the usual business of approving the accounts and appointing our accountants were dealt with. This year saw the adoption of new Articles of Association whereby five of our esteemed Past Masters were able to be reappointed as Directors of the Guild and rejoin the Court as full voting members.
After the AGM The Master installed Senior Warden Neil Redcliffe as Master for 2019-20. The new Master, Neil Redcliffe, said that he was hugely honoured and privileged to be installed as Master of the Guild of Freemen and follow his grandfather, Bunny Morgan who was Master in 1985. He thanked his fellow Court members for electing him and placing their trust in him to lead this distinguished and dignified City organisation. He promised to give his very best endeavours to honour that trust and hand the Guild on to his successors in good shape. He then went on to install his Wardens for the year: Ann-Marie Jefferys as Senior Warden, Alderman John Garbutt as Renter Warden, Chris Walton as Junior Warden and Cllr Lisa Rutter as Under Warden. Afterwards everyone retired to the Parlour to enjoy refreshments with the members who had attended the ceremony.
