The Master led two visits to Windsor and St Georges Chapel in order that 65 Guild members could enjoy a wonderful day out. We started with a leisurely tour of the state apartments at the Castle then onto a lovely lunch at Cote. Afterwards we ambled back up the hill for a private tour of St George's Chapel where we were allowed to stand on the steps (made famous by Harry and Meghan) for a group photo. The chapel is steeped in history and we were fortunate that Michael Pitfield, Leadership Fellow at St George's House, Windsor Castle, arranged three super guides for us - including new Guild member Art Ramirez. We learned so much about the history of the Chapel and English history in general that we quite deserved a coffee before a beautiful Evensong - which we enjoyed from reserved Garter stalls in the choir. The chapel is of course "The Chapel of the Most Honourable and Noble Order of the Garter" and we eagerly looked at all the coats of arms to see whose stall we were sitting in.
