Following a busy Court meeting where the Master invested 2 new Court Assistants, Dorothy Newlands of Lauriston and Keith Bottomley CC, as well as admitting 7 new members and introducing 12 new members to the Court, 94 members and guests had a lovely evening at Furniture Makers' Hall. This intimate hall, tucked away in Austin Friars, gives an atmosphere of a private dinner party, and in fact we ended up singing Happy Birthday to a member who was celebrating a very special birthday - Happy Birthday Gaynor! There was much animated conversation and laughter during the sparkling reception and delicious three course dinner. The evening ended with a fascinating talk by the Master Furniture Maker and the Guild's Master wished everyone a safe journey home. Photos of the event can be found here.
