The Master and his wife Emma generously opened up their home to members by hosting a Hog Roast in their lovely garden. 70 Guild members and their guests were treated to champagne followed by an informal Hog Roast lunch with wine...and highly calorific desserts! Afterwards we went on to nearby Saffron Hall for an afternoon of sublime music. World class conductor Harry Christophers and his remarkable choir, The Sixteen, performed Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610. Harry was able to join us in the interval and chat to members - a great treat indeed! The event was so popular the Master has even more generously offered to do it all again in September, when the musical offering will be Wagner's Tristan and Isolde.
