Bermondsey Heritage & Art Walk
Meeting Point:
Science Gallery Café, Great Maze Pond (off St Thomas’ Street), near London Bridge Station
Postcode: SE1 9GU
As we walk, we’ll uncover stories of Bermondsey’s industrial past and see how the area has reinvented itself for the present day.
Angela Waddingham will lead us on a circular 90-minute - 2 hour walk exploring the historic Main Street of Bermondsey with its connections to the leather industry. We will see how the area has reinvented itself with art galleries, places to eat and modern desirable housing.
For those walkers wishing refreshments (at personal cost), either before or after the walk, there is a good café, the Science Gallery Café, Great Maze Pond, which is part of Guy’s and Thomas’ teaching hospital.
Angela’s walks are extremely popular and informative.
