LAST POSTING DAY FOR WHISKY IS 2nd OCTOBER

The Master is delighted to offer a virtual whisky tasting (real whisky of course!) hosted by Guild member Greg Dillon who has kindly discounted the price for us.  The tasting will be Zoom on Monday 12th October at 7.00pm BST. You will order your tasting flight by booking your place(s) and your will receive your whiskys by post in advance. On the evening of the tasting, we all get together on Zoom; Greg will introduce his company then we will go through the five whiskies in series, sampling and discussing.

Through the evening you are more than welcome to ask any questions and Greg will do his best to answer and to help each person navigate whisky and have a better understanding of some of the nuances around this great spirit.

All that’s needed on the night is five glasses and an open mind, maybe some water on the side if you want to try with and without water. Ahead of the tasting I will email all participants with the tasting mat and more tips on how to get the most out of the evening.

There are two tasting packages:
  • 5 x 25ml limited edition whiskys, good for one person. This is £25 per package
  • 5 x 50ml limited edition whiskys, good for 2 people. This is £45 per package
The Guild website is not sophisticated enough to deal with the 2 package types. If you apply for 2 places I will assume you want the 5 x 50ml package unless you tell me otherwise. Please note that this event needs minimum numbers to run so I would be grateful if you would apply in the next few days so that Greg can work out the production run.

Greg is an award-winning writer, brand strategy and whisky producer, with a published whisky book, The GreatDrams of Scotland, a conversational book of distillery stories, anecdotes and historical accounts from distilleries all over Scotland. His company, GreatDrams.com, is also the current Drinks Producer of the Year.  Greg is also a judge on several whisky judging panels including:

                • The Spirits Business Masters
                • The IWSC
                • The IWSC Packaging Awards
                • World Whisky Awards
