The Master is delighted to be able to offer another Virtual event to Guild members, a talk on The Jewels of the Duchess of Windsor. We are fortunate to have Antiques specialist Janie Ramsay, who was a Director of Sotherby’s when the firm was responsible for selling the Duchess of Windsor’s magnificent collection of jewellery.
The talk will touch on the abdication crisis and the famous designers who helped the Duchess to become one of the best dressed women in the world. Her magnificent jewellery, designed by the 20th century most iconic jewellers and sold for record prices, still fascinates today. And the list of who bought some of the pieces, and what they had to pay, is equally fascinating.
If you apply online, even if an event is free of charge, you will need to tick a payment method and submit the application. You should get a confirmation email.
If you are a member please log in to see booking information.
