The Brighton Experience

Monday 15th June 2026 - Wednesday 17th June 2026

Start: 4pm | Finish: 4pm

The Master has arranged a three-day trip to his home City of Brighton & Hove to experience Brighton “below the sea, on the sea, and above the sea.”  Our visit commences with a guided tour and Summer Garden Party at Preston Manor, the former manor house of the ancient Sussex village of Preston.  The present building dates mostly from 1738, when Lord of the Manor Thomas Western rebuilt the original 13th-century structure, and 1905 when Charles Stanley Peach's renovation and enlargement gave the house its current appearance.

On “Sussex Day”, we explore Brighton with guided tours of the Royal Pavilion and the City.  In the evening the Master has arranged an event at the exotic Brighton Royal Pavilion.  The evening will commence with a Sparkling wine Reception in the Great Kitchen, followed by a Concert in the Music Room by the highly talented Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus, culminating with a Banquet fit for a king.  The Guest Speaker is Dr Alexandra Loske FSA, the Curator of the Royal Pavilion.  This will be an evening of exuberance, music and colour.

On our final day there will be an opportunity for further personal exploration, and we will promenade along the seafront for a visit to the i360 for a private lunch.  Following lunch, we will board the i360 pod for an exclusive journey and a panoramic view of the coastline and Brighton & Hove.
