Only a few spaces are still available. Saint Sophia is the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom and is a neo-classical architectural treasure that evokes the magnificence of the Cathedral of Haghia Sophia in Constantinople.  The foundation stone was laid in July 1877 and on the 1st June 1879, the first liturgy was held celebrating the Feast of Pentecost. The Church was consecrated on 5th February 1882, by Archbishop Antonios Hariatis of Corfu.  During World War II, London was the seat of the Greek government in exile and St Sophia became the ‘Cathedral of the Greek Nation’.

The Cathedral houses a small museum of Greek religious artifacts. Join the Master on this fascinating tour with a hearty lunch following the Cathedral visit – see  event number 9

Tickets are free though a donation to the church would be appreciated.
