College of Arms - Visit + Buffet Supper

Wednesday 22nd July 2026

Start: 6.00pm | Finish: 9.00pm approx.

This ever-popular annual event comprises a fascinating talk and tour of the College of Arms by William Hunt, the research assistant to John Petrie, Windsor Herald, who will give members the opportunity to view some of the spectacular examples of the College's work over the past 800 years.  The College of Arms is the official heraldic authority for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and much of the Commonwealth, including Australia and New Zealand.

As well as being responsible for the granting of new coats of arms, the College maintains registers of arms, pedigrees, genealogies, Royal Licences, changes of name, and flags.  We will hear about the Heralds' ceremonial duties and their unique place in our history.

The Tour will conclude with a substantial buffet supper with wine.
