It was a busy couple of days for the Guild, starting with attendance at the Silent Ceremony at Guildhall to witness the swearing in of Guild member The Rt Hon Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Peter Estlin. After this marvellous ceremony the Master John Barber DL, Senior Warden Neil Redliffe, Clerk Christine Cook and Beadle John Hollingsworth made their way to the Art Gallery in Guildhall where we had the honour of presenting a gift of a silver photo frame to Alderman and Sheriff Vincent Keaveny. The following day saw 100 Guild members and guests attend the Lord Mayor's Show, viewing from the Guild's stand at St Paul's and 32 carried on to a delicious lunch at Guildhall. In the meantime the Master took part in the parade in the carriage, escorted as usual by the Guild's Soldier of the Year, and this year he got a "shout out" on the BBC ticker!
