Reception & Supper at Wax Chandlers' Hall

Thursday 2nd May 2019

Start: 7.30 pm | Finish: 10.00 pm

This event has passed

The Master would be delighted if members and guests attending the Annual Service would continue onto supper, and of course those who do not wish to attend the service would also join us at Wax Chandlers' Hall.

Wax Chandlers Hall is located in the heart of the City in Gresham Street on a site that the Company has owned since 1501. Located in the Foster Lane Conservation Area, the current brick and granite styled building is the sixth design of the hall on the same site, having lost previous versions to the Great Fire of 1666, town planning and general disrepair. The hall is well appointed and has benefited from a recent refurbishment to its interior.

The Master will welcome you at a sparkling reception, before making your way into the Great Hall where we will enjoy a fine dining three-course dinner with wine, followed by the Loving Cup Ceremony, port and speech by the Master. We will be joined by the choir from King Edward’s School, Witley for drinks before supper.
