In 2022 many members enjoyed a visit to Allington Castle, however, some were disappointed not to secure a place and so the owner has kindly agreed to a second visit, as the Castle is privately owned and occupied and not generally open to the public.
We will arrive for a Pimms reception in the courtyard which will be followed by a three course lunch in the medieval Great Hall. After lunch there will be a brief talk on the history of the Castle, prior to a guided walking tour of the castle itself and its ground. After the tour we will return to the Great Hall for tea and scones prior to departure.
While there is parking at the Castle, we will provide transport from and to Maidstone station.

""The Guild was formed in 1908 for all fellow Freemen of the City of London – today we number almost 1,500 members from all backgrounds, and from a wide range of professions. In addition, our Annual Programme is the City’s most extensive. It features events with privileged access for Members and their guests, ranging from opportunities to dine in London’s finest Livery Halls, to less formal activities. Our Annual Banquet is a highlight of the Guild’s calendar and attracts members from all over the world.
