Barbeque at the Master's Home & Concert at Saffron Hall

Sunday 9th June 2019

Start: 12 noon | Finish: early evening

The Master and Emma Redcliffe invite members and one guest each to their country home near Saffron Walden for a lunchtime barbecue, after which a coach will take us to nearby Saffron Hall for a performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610. This is one of the most magnificent pieces of the classical repertoire, famed for its thrilling rhythms, grand choruses and beautiful solo movements. it will be performed by The Sixteen choir & orchestra and conducted by Harry Christophers.

You will make your own way to the house by car (parking is available) or by train to Audley End station. A coach will be provided to take everyone to the Hall and back to the house after performance, via the station for those travelling by train

There will be a maximum of 50 tickets available so early application, while not guaranteeing a place, will enable the Master to determine whether to take all 50 tickets
