Arundel Castle and Cathedral Visit

Tuesday 21st April 2026

Start: 10am | Finish: 5.30pm

Join us for a full and fascinating day exploring the rich history, architecture, and charm of Arundel. Beautifully set in the South Downs, Arundel offers a perfect blend of heritage, scenery, and culture—and we’ll experience it all.

We will meet at Arundel Museum (pay-as-you-park) where tea and coffee can be purchased before we begin with a flat, easy walk to Arundel Castle.

From the Castle, we will walk to St Mary’s Gate Inn, passing through the Fitzalan Chapel, the only shared Anglican and Catholic place of worship in the UK.

Lunch will be at St Mary’s Gate Inn

Following lunch, we will walk to Arundel Cathedral for a guided tour of this striking and historic building.

After the Cathedral, we will enjoy a stroll through Arundel’s historic High Street en route to a guided tour of Arundel Museum, followed by tea and cake.

There will also be the option to explore more of the Castle gardens instead, if preferred.

After the museum visit, you may continue exploring Arundel at your leisure or depart for home—either by car or by train back to London.

Spend the day with the Guild discovering one of England’s most captivating small towns—rich in history, beauty, and architectural splendour.
