At its meeting on 20th April the Court appointed Master Nicolas Bragge as an Assistant.
Called to the Bar in 1971, Master Bragge practiced as a barrister at the Chancery Bar specialising in intellectual property law, particularly trade marks and copyright. He served as a Chairman (part-time) of Social Security and Disability Appeal Tribunals and as a Deputy Social Security Commissioner. Appointed to full time judicial office in 1997 as a Master of the Supreme Court Chancery Division, he site in the Royal Courts of Justice, London. He is an editor of "Civil Procedure" and a committee member of the Barristers' Benevolent Association.
Master Bragge takes an active interest in the City and it a Court member of the Cutlers' Company; he served as Master Cutler, 2003-04. He is a member of the City of London Branch of the Royal Society of Saint George and the Association of Freemen of England and Wales. Married to Pamela, herself a Freeman of the City, they live in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire and have three grown up sons.
